Donate to Support Our Three-Point Action Plan for National Monuments
The Trump administration has given US Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke just a few weeks to consider the fate of up to 27 national monuments that have been established since the 1990s.
The review could be disastrous for some of America’s most beloved places.
A primary purpose of national monument protection is to keep these special places free of fracking and other forms oil and gas drilling, mining, logging and reckless development.. California’s awe-inspiring Giant Sequoias National Monument would be put at risk. In Utah, the beautiful and wild Bears Ears National Monument — one of America’s newest national monuments — could soon soon be dotted with new oil and gas operations.
Your donation today will help Environmental Action:
- Place ads to educate the public about the threats these special places now face;
- Organize a national call-in day in defense of national monuments;
- Mobilize nature-loving Americans across the country to urge Congress to defend our national monuments; and
- Support other work to protect clean air and water, wildlife, and wild places.
We only have a few short weeks to safeguard the national monuments that are such an essential part of what makes our country great. How much can you contribute today to support this vital work?
