Give the Grand Canyon the gift of protection against any new mining projects
Currently, the Grand Canyon and surrounding land are under the protection of a 20-year moratorium on new uranium mining sites. But in order to keep this place protected, it's critical that we make this ban permanent.
The recently-introduced Grand Canyon Centennial Protection Act would expand the current moratorium, and permanently prohibit new claims for mining on 1 million acres of public lands.
Call on your U.S. representative to pass this legislation and permanently protect the land near the Grand Canyon from uranium mining right now.
