The US House of Representatives just voted to slash more than a half a billion dollars from the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) budget.

If approved by the Senate, the cuts could leave the agency short on vital resources to protect our air, water, wildlife and wild places -- even as the EPA works to make sure Americans in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico have clean air, clean water and safe food in the wake of the recent hurricanes.
