Public Land Use Shouldn't Fuel Climate Change

Speaker Pelosi and Committee Chairman Grijalva,

We, the undersigned, support a moratorium on new fossil fuel development on our public lands. We are greatly concerned by the Trump administration's massive expansion of energy development on federal lands -- and its impact on climate change. From 2005 to 2014, nearly a quarter of U.S. emissions that contribute to climate change came from oil, coal, and other fossil fuels developed on the public lands we all own. Dirty drilling on America's public lands shouldn't be fueling the climate crisis. Please do all you can to protect these special places.
