Oppose Commercial Logging in Maine's Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument

Maine's Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument is home to rare lynx, bears, moose and birds like gray jays, boreal chickadees and the American three-toed woodpecker. It's exactly the type of place we should be protecting, not logging for private profit.

Unfortunately, the Trump administration has called for "active timber management" of this area, raising the spectre of destructive new commercial logging in the state's wild North Woods.

Urge the National Park Service to deny any new permitting for commercial timber operations in Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument.
