Speak Out for the Mountain Lions, Bighorn Sheep and Other Wildlife of Bears Ears

You can see a lot at Bears Ears National Monument. You can marvel at wide-open skies and the ancient beauty of stunning vistas. You can watch as nimble mountain lions and mighty bighorn sheep navigate the rocky terrain. You may even see a black bear.
Unfortunately, the future of this — one of America’s newest national monuments — is far from certain. President Donald Trump has ordered the Interior Department to review last year’s designation of Bears Ears as a national monument in order to “free it up” for more oil and gas drilling and other harmful development that could rob wildlife of vital habitat and threaten the area’s stunning natural beauty..
We only have until May 26 to speak out in defense of Bears Ears’ protected status. That’s why Environmental Action has launched this urgent new petition to ensure that the Interior Department hears from nature-loving people across the country. Can you add your voice?
