Save The Sage Grouse

The Greater Sage Grouse (Grouse) is on the brink of extinction. One hundred years ago there were 18 million Grouse in North America, today that number is as low as 200,000. The Grouse habitat is being destroyed by grazing, fracking, wildfires and other climate change events.

It's numbers decline even more because USFWS has largely left the fate of this species to the states and voluntary conservation measures by oil and gas developers and frackers.  Additionally, the BLM facilitate the species' decline by granting permit after permit for livestock grazing and fracking. It's time for the USFWS to list the Grouse on the Endangered Species List before we lose this species forever.

Sign here and tell Secretary Jewell to include the Grouse on the Endangered Species List right now.
