No fracking on Public Radio
Have you heard the pro-fracking ads on NPR? They're the special messages about how great fracked natural gas is that end in "think about it."
NPR says the spots aren't ads, and that they don't influence coverage. But there's no denying that NPR hosts are doing the fracking industry's work for them when they read these misleading statements on air.
It's bad enough that fracking is destroying our communities, public health and climate. Now they're fracking the media: Injecting their money and propaganda into our public news outlets to fracture the civic dialog.
Don't just sit there listening - DO SOMETHING. Sign on here and tell us which NPR station you listen to - we'll deliver your name at a live pirate radio broadcast from NPR's front steps this fall.
